Bilbao BBK Live festival proudly announces that the first headline act of its eighth edition, scheduled to take place from the 11th to 13th July in the northern Spanish city of Bilbao, will be Depeche Mode in which is set to be the band’s only Spanish festival performance next year.

Depeche Mode, who have spent much of this year working on their anticipated 13th studio album due for release in Spring, will tour across Europe next summer, playing 34 shows in 25 European countries. These will be the band’s first live shows since their highly successful 2009/2010 Tour of the Universe during which they played 142 shows, including a headline slot at Bilbao BBK Live festival.

Three Day Early Bird tickets to Bilbao BBK Live, including camping, will be on sale from the 6th November till the 11th of December, for just £75 + booking fee on See Tickets and Ticketweb.

After 2012’s record-breaking attendance with performances by Radiohead and The Cure and the launch of the popular third stage, Bilbao BBK Live keeps growing and attracting the biggest names in music today. Previous editions of the event have included headliners such as Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Depeche Mode, Jane’s Addiction, RHCP and Suede.

Bilbao BBK Live is a three-day event that takes placeon top of a hill surrounded by mountains offering spectacular views over the city of Bilbao. The privileged location of the site, its proximity to the city and beach and a late start of bands, allow festivalgoers to make the most of this event and unique setting. Bilbao is a modern city famous for its architecture, museums and gastronomy, and it’s just a stone’s throw away from some of the best waves in Europe.

To get there: Two low cost airlines operate direct flights from London to Bilbao. Check Easyjet (from Stansted) and Vueling (from Heathrow). Easyjet operates direct flights from Manchester to Bilbao throughout the summer.
Ryanair operates daily flights to Santander, just an hour bus ride to Bilbao.
From Bilbao airport there are regular public buses to central Bilbao. Once in central Bilbao the festival provides shuttle buses to the site.
