From Brooklyn (New York), the music of We are Augustines can be described as indie-rock with a hint of pop. Their only work to date “Rise ye sunken ships” was released in 2011. Influenced by The Killers and Bruce Springsteen, the band’s background has been heavily influenced by the personal story of three of its members. The band, formed in the month of August, initially called named “Augustines” but finally decided to change it to their current name.
