Mumford & Sons are a folk-rock band from London who’s passionate about rock, country and bluegrass. The band is formed by Marcus Mumford (vocals, guitar and drums), Winston Mashall (vocals, banjo, dobro), Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboard and organ) and Dwane Ted (vocals and double bass). The band came together at the end of 2007, a time when the new folk scene emerged in London, artists like Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, Jay Jay Pistolet and Noah & the Whale are said to be part of the same new folk movement. The band’s debut album “Sigh No More” saw the light in 2009 and became an unparalleled success. Mumford & Sons however, thrives on stage and offers a performance that resembles a folk party with improvised choreographies, catchy chorus and general joy.
