The Kooks, an indie-rock four piece formed in Brighton (UK) in 2004, named themselves after David Bowie’s song “Kooks”. They’ve released three studio albums to date. Their debut album “Inside In/Inside Out” released in 2006 sold over two million copies worldwide and six of the album’s tracks reached Top 40 in the UK. After this brilliant start to their career, their second album “Konk” (2008) reached number one in the UK. Their third and latest album to date “Junk of the Heart" (2011), shows a softer indie-pop approach and a departure from the band’s rock roots.
