Having recently announced an exclusive headline performance by Radiohead, we are now adding seven new bands to the line-up of the seventh edition of the Bilbao BBK Live festival.
The Northern Irish band formed in Scotland, Snow Patrol, who have sold over 15 million albums across the world, are the winners of numerous prestigious awards (Meteor Music Awards, Q Awards) and have received the praise of music legends such as Bono (U2), Michael Stipe (REM) or Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue), released their sixth studio album “Fallen Empires” back in November 2011 and will present their new material “Called Out in the Dark” and “This isn’t Everything you are” as well as their old time classics in Bilbao.
The London based indie-rock quartet Klaxons, who in 2007 and after the release of various six inch singles on independent labels, took the alternative music scene by storm with the release of the debut album “Myths of the Near Future” that included hit singles like “Golden Skans”, released their second album “Surfing the Void” back in 2010 after receiving numerous awards and performances in major European festivals.
Vetusta Morla will be back at Bilbao BBK Live as part of the presentation tour of “Mapas”, the band’s second album. Vetusta Morla is possibly the most acclaimed Spanish indie band of recent years. Their first album, “Un Dia en el Mundo” was released in 2008 after 10 years of gigs, demos and rehearsal rooms and became a breath of fresh air within the indie scene. Their performance at Bilbao BBK Live will be their last in north Spain before ending their “Mapas” tour.
Portuguese band The Gift, an excellent electronic indie-pop band with seven albums, Londoners Noah and the Whale, a popular indie-fold quintet; Band of Skulls, a British rock band with a hint of garage, blues and indie about to release their third album “Sweet Sour” next month and Lori Meyers, one of the most relevant Spanish bands of recent years, have also been added to the festival line-up.
A total of seven bands have been added to the line-up of the event that already counts with an exclusive performance by Radiohead. Festival organisers will be soon announcing more additions to the line-up of the event due to take place from the 12th – 14th July at Kobetamendi
