Blind Melon
Blind Melon will be in Barcelona, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao and Madrid to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first album “Blind Melon”.
Their homonymous rock album “Blind Melon” was released in 1992; back then, the band toured with artists such as Neil Young and Lenny Kravitz until the band stopped touring due to Shannon Hoon’s (front man) drug problems. In 1995 the band published “Soup”, an alternative rock album, but during the tour Hoon was found dead from an overdose.
After the release of their third album “Nico” the bands split up.
Their cursed band status and their facility to mix sounds from the 60’s and 70’s with grunge made them a cult band and representatives of what it’s been known as Generation X. In 2006 Blind Melon reunited with Travis Warren as front man and released ‘For my Friends’.
The presentation tour for the album included the Azkena Rock festival and now the band is back together celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album with performances in Barceiona, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao (within the series of concerts Bilbao BBK Live Bereziak) and Madrid.
