After your amazingly positive feedback from the 2010 and 2011 editions, the Vodafone tent has established itself as one of the best stages at Bilbao BBK Live. Once again in 2012, we will be able to enjoy a line-up filled with Spanish bands, various international acts and the best DJ-s, that will make us dance until the sun comes up.
Thursday 12th July
Hailing from Valencia, La Habitacion Roja is one of the most significant bands of the independent pop scene of the last fifteen years.
McEnroe are long distance runners in their musical career. Slowly but surely, the band from Getxo has position itself as the band for audiences that prefer honest music and performances.
Varry Brava is possibly the most hedonistic band in the current pop scene. The band’s debut album “Demasié”, has achieved an original discourse without hiding the influence of bands such as Duran Duran and the Spanish new wave.
Elbis Rever, will be coming from another planet with his “neo-techno post-modern dance noise post contemporary pop”. Finally, Javi Green & Montxo (from Bilbao and resident DJs at Zul Technoclub in Castro Urdiales) and Ciudadano Kane (Madrid) will make us dance until the morning.
Friday 13th July
Supersubmarina achieved outstanding reviews from the press and fans in 2009 thanks to “Cientocero” and “Supersubmarina”, their two first EP’s. “Santacruz” is their new album, a perfect radiography of different moods and feelings.
Hailing from Galicia, Triangulo de Amor Bizarro, one of the most successful Spanish indie bands of recent years, offers one of the strongest live performances. Their latest album “Anyo Santo” features in all the Best of 2010 lists. Their guitars will make this live performance an intense carnal experience.
Amos y LoSantos is Amós Piñeros’s band. Lead vocals and violin of two of the most important Colombian rock bands in history, Catedral y Ultrágeno, his sound is mainly rock that goes through subtle textures and vibes.
Namek Planet, is a four piece from Elorrio, winners of the Battle of the Bnads contest that took place in Bilbao. Finally, if you’d like to dance until the sun rises, you’ll be able to enjoy Victoria’s Secret DJs (Madrid & Bilbao), The Warrior DJs (Madrid) at the Vodaforne tent.
Saturday 14th July
Bigott is one of the most interesting characters of the current music scene. Bearded crooner with an amazing confidence and creativity, his surrealist compositions and lyrics are a perfect match to the band’s beautiful production by Paco Loco.
Onda Vaga is coming from Argentina with their original mix sounds; from tango to rock, through rumba. Guaranteed fun!
From Valencia Rubick love British rock; however their influences are wider: Kasabian, Black Keys and Rolling Stones amongst others.
Lauroba, winners of the San Sebastian Pop-Rock contest will be presenting their powerpop album “Gauari Gauarekin”. To dance until the morning Dani Less and Oskar Destroy (Independance Club, Madrid & Bilbao) and Nasty Mondays (Barcelona).
