THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM

Influenced by bands like The Replacements, Bruce Springsteen, The Clash or Social Distortion, The Gaslight Anthem is a young rock band that started up in New Jersey at the beginning of this decade. In 2007 they released their debut “Sink or Swim”, a collection of punk-rock songs that, although  not so remarkable, it showed a young band with very clear ideas. Their recent “The ’59 Sound” has ended up demonstrating they had many things to offer by their mixture of rock, pop and blues with veteran skills without much effort. Songs like the initial “Great Expectations”, “The ’59 Sound” or “Miles Davis and the cool” show a young band as one of the rock promises with an inflammatory live sound.
