DAVE MATTHEWS BAND RELEASE BIG WHISKEY AND THE GROOGRUX KING |

"Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King" (RCA Records) it´s already on sale - the new and seventh studio album by Dave Matthews Band and the first one in three years since its previous "Stand Up" from 2005. It means also the first album of the band after the death of their Saxophoniste LeRoi Moore.
The Rolling Stone magazine has described it as the most incredible work by the band, both musically and emotionally. The same opinion have in the Billboard where they have speciallyremarked the songs “Shake Me Like a Monkey”, the ballade “Lying In The Hands Of God”, “Alligator Pie”, “Why I Am”, and the first single of the album “Funny the Way It Is”, already in the 37th place of the list.

THE TING TINGS WIN THE BRITISH SONWRITING AWARD FOR THE BEST |

The debut album "We Started Nothing" by Julian De Martino and Katie White, The Ting Tings, has been recognized as the best album 2008 in the Ivor Novello Awards celebrated last May 21st in London. These are the most recognized awards for composers and singer-songwriters and it’s the only celebration not influenced by the record nor advertising companies, and its jury comes from the composer’s community. The prize, the statuette Euterpe, muse of the composers, has been awarded since 1955 and has been given to bands and artists like Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Ray Davies, Martin Gore or Eric Clapton, among many others. The Ting Tings competed for this award with Duffy for “Rockferry” and with Coldplay for “Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends”. They were also nominated for the best Contemporary song for "That's Not My Name".
Another band awarded is Attack y Elbow who has received two statuettes for "One Day Like This" as the best song of the year and for "Grounds for divorce" as the best Contemporary song. Both tunes are included in the album "The seldom seen kid" (2008). |

EMI REEDITS ALL PLACEBO MATERIAL |

Placebo’s last record company, the multinational EMI, wants to continue exploiting the band’s material. Although the British band finished the contract with the firm last year, the latter has decided to re-edit a new complete catalogue of the band just at the same time they release their new album
"Battle For The Sun" next June 8th. For that, EMI will launch a ten record box with all the recordings of the group, including the studio albums, B sides and dvds.
The edition will contain:

2. "Without You I’m Nothing" (original album)
3. "Black Market Music" (original album)
4. "Sleeping With Ghosts" (original album)
5. "Covers" (extra album)
6. "Meds" (original album)
7. "B-sides" (original album)

"SOUNDS OF THE UNIVERSE" ON THE WOLD TOP LISTS |

The new work by Depeche Mode "Sounds Of the Universe" released last April 20th is already on the music top lists: number 1 in Spain, number 2 in Great Britain and number 3 in the USA, just after the first week of its launch. It has been also number one in countries like Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.
On the other side, next June 15th it will be released their new single "Peace" – the second one from their new album after "Wrong".

Placebo offers us another advance of their next album “Battle For The Sun”. We can see already through myspace the video clip coming out from the album. The chosen song has been “For What It's Worth”. See video. The single will be on sale next June 1st and it will available in three formats: Cd, vinyl and digital download. 1,000 PEOPLE IN THE BBK LIVE PARTY AT THE INDEPEDANCE CLUB |

The first official Bilbao BBK Live party couldn’t have been more successful. 1,000 people came to the Independance Club in Madrid last Saturday to listen all the music of the bands playing at the Festival next July.
